Why UX?

I’ve been steeped in the creative space for as long as I can remember. Helping my mother run her interior design business (pass the tape measure, Jackie!) and giving impromptu design advice to her design clients and store customers is my bread and butter. From a very early age I absorbed and understood the process of designing for the most important experience in people’s lives: their homes. I credit her for nurturing my creative side and showing me that a career can be made out of a love for people and design.

My sales and marketing side is all thanks to my dad, who worked in Advertising Sales and used to drag me to events at companies like the WSJ and Yahoo when I was 13. He'd make me create makeshift business cards and introduce myself to everyone at the event. A little embarrassing, am I right? Well, that's where I learned about the art of the sale and today it allows me to sell the value of design and serve as a connector across organizations.

And thanks to my background in Finance, I can take tons of information and distill insights into informed decisions for complex experiences. In short, UX allows me to use my skill set to empower people to accomplish their goals.

I’m always networking and learning new things, so feel free to shoot me an email to talk about new opportunities or see my current projects!
